Mr. Li Xiaohua was a poor child born into a worker’s family 50 years ago. He started out in 1981 on the beaches of Beidaihe with an $800 fresh-juice machine. Working with great efforts and through a rough and bumpy road, he has China’s reforms and opening up to the outside world. His undertakings and his success story have become the pride of the overseas Chinese and have been the focus of the Western media.

A Western commentator said: the rise of Li Xiaohua is like China’s economic reform and opening up, in miniature.

In 1988, Li Xiaohua initiated the direct sales model in Japan to sell the “101” Hair Restorer. He pushed a storm of purchasing “101” Hair Restorers. Mr. Noboru Takeshita, former Prime Minster of Japan praised him: “Li Xiaohua is one of the most excellent and intelligent entrepreneurs of China. His success proves that China’s policy of reform and opening up to the outside world is very wise, and it benefits the Chinese people.

In 1991 he invested $38 million in a Malaysian road, doubling his money within half a year.

In 1994, Mr. Li Xiaohua was selected as One of China’s 100 Excellent Entrepreneurs.

In 1995, Li Xiaohua was selected as One of China’s Top Ten Private Entrepreneur, and was rewarded with “World Peace Contributor and Messenger” by the UN Scientific and Peace Organization.

A newly discovered asteroid was named 'Li Xiaohua Asteroid’

In 1996, a newly discovered asteroid (No. 3556) was named after him as ‘Li Xiaohua Asteroid’ by the International Asteroid Naming committee. He was selected as one of the China’s Ten Outstanding Philanthropist for helping to eliminate poverty.
He was granted honorary citizenship by the Governor of New York State.
Former USA President Bill Clinton said the spirit and efforts made by Mr. Li Xiaohua are a good example for American youth.

In 1997, Mr. Li Xiaohua was conferred the title of Honorary Chairman of the US-China People’s Friendship Association; Awarded the National Glory Cause Medal by the Chinese government; Elected to be a congressman of the China People’s Political Consultative Conference; Attended the Ceremony for Hong Kong’s Return to China as one of the representative of Outstanding Chinese People; For the 5th consecutive year was listed by Forbes as one of the most outstanding and richest entrepreneurs in China.

In 1998, Mr. Li Xiaohua attended the Ceremony for Macao’s Return to Chinese rule as one of the representatives of Outstanding Chinese People.

Mr. Robert Hawke, former Prime Minister of Australia, said Li Xiaohua is the most successful and promising entrepreneur of China, and his contributions are not only successful business ventures, but also in his great philanthropy.

In 2003, Li Xiaohua was awarded the title of Honorary Chairman of the China Charity Federation for reorganizations of his great contributions to charitable causes. And he was conferred with an honorary Doctor’s Degree of Yuyin University for his great contributions to the health of mankind and his management talent in industry and commerce.
Mr. George Bush, former President of the United States, said Li Xiaohua is a generous and charitable entrepreneur. He and his wife Barbara said they would pray for him, wishing that success would always follow him.

In 2004, Li Xiaohua was honored as China’s Business Leader with the most world-influence by the International Enterpriser General Union. The Chinese Private Economic Research Society conferred to Li Xiaohua that title of “the Landmark on China Marketing” for his great contributions to the Chinese business field.
